Fall in love with a new hobby, or rediscover your love of clay, in our 6-week Pottery Wheel course. Our instructors Olivia Bennett and Jordan Barlow have been teaching our Try-It classes and introductory classes and you will love these on-going classes.

Regardless of your prior experience with clay, we have something for you in this class. The small class size means that the instructors can work with you where you are! You’ll master the pottery wheel and create functional items you can proudly use at home or share with friends and family.

The class includes learning pottery essentials, such as:

• Clay preparation

• Centering

• Opening

• Pulling walls

• Shaping

• Trimming

• Glazing

The clay and glazes you’ll need are included in the class. The classes meet weekly, with two hours of instruction during each weekly class with an instructor present. We offer the class Monday night from 6-8, Thursday night from 6-8 and Saturday morning from 10-12. You may also come into open studio hours on Sundays from noon until 3 p.m. to practice on your own.

This round of classes will begin Monday April 13 and conclude we week of May 18.

Important Attendance Policy:
Your consistent attendance is crucial for the best learning experience. Due to space limitations and class flow, we don’t offer make-up classes. However, if you need to miss a class, you can either attend another night in the same week or the instructor will help catch you up during the next session and ensure your pieces stay on schedule with the rest of the class. Please discuss with the instructor beforehand, if possible.
